Leading crypto asset manager Grayscale has introduced the Grayscale Horizen Trust (HZEN), which will provide qualified investors with access to ZEN tokens through a regulated investment product. Grayscale announced that as of Dec. 13, its cryptocurrency suite on the X platform now supports 30 different crypto assets, including LDO coin.

Grayscale’s decision to allow qualified investors to purchase the Horizen Trust comes at a time when institutional investment in cryptocurrencies is rapidly increasing. With major companies making big purchases, especially as Bitcoin Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) begin to emerge, the Grayscale Horizen Trust offers investors a secure and regulated way to invest in ZEN tokens. ZEN tokens are part of the Horizen blockchain platform, which focuses on privacy and scalability. Grayscale’s offering of ZEN tokens as securities demonstrates the firm’s strategy to bridge the gap between cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets. Designed for accredited and institutional investors, the fund provides a safe and compliant entry into Horizen’s blockchain ecosystem.

Grayscale is also known for its Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds, such as the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) and Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE). As of Dec. 16, the Grayscale Horizen Trust traded at $6.40 per share and managed approximately $8.7 million in assets. This launch further expands Grayscale’s portfolio of crypto funds. The firm recently introduced trusts for Lido DAO (LDO) and Optimism (OP), giving investors access to the Grayscale Lido DAO Trust and Grayscale Optimism Trust. With these new products, institutional investors can gain access to two important projects in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Additionally, Grayscale Investments recently announced the Grayscale Chainlink Trust to provide institutional investors with exposure to Chainlink (LINK) through a regulated security. The trust passively invests in LINK, removing the burden of investors directly holding or managing the cryptocurrency. Earlier in the year, Grayscale launched three new trusts to invest in native protocol tokens MakerDAO (now Sky), Bittensor, and Sui.

Grayscale has created a wide portfolio of supported coins. This list includes well-known cryptocurrencies such as AAVE, AVAX, BAT, BCH, FIL, GRT, LDO, LINK, LPT, LTC, MANA, MKR, NEAR, OP, RENDER, SOL, STX, SUI, TAO, XLM, XRP, and ZEC, demonstrating the wide range of investment options Grayscale offers.
