Nirvana Finance, the stablecoin protocol of the Solana ecosystem, has announced that claims for compensation are now open and Nirvana V2 will go live at 2:00 on December 18th. Original ANA holders can now experience the application in advance.
Earlier news: In July 2022, hacker Shakeeb Ahmed stole about $3.5 million in stablecoins by manipulating the protocol's pricing mechanism. With the cooperation of the US Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, and the IRS, Nirvana successfully recovered the stolen funds and Ahmed was sentenced to three years in prison. He was also required to return the cryptocurrency and pay $3.4 million in compensation.
