Foresight News reports that Ben Caselin, Chief Marketing Officer of African cryptocurrency exchange VALR, delivered a keynote speech at the Taipei Blockchain Week roundtable event titled "Unlocking the Web3 Potential of Emerging Markets: The Rise of Asia and Africa." He emphasized the key role of stablecoins in markets like South Africa and noted the innovative potential exhibited by emerging markets in Asia and Africa. Caselin predicted key trends that may emerge in the coming year, including more countries exploring Bitcoin mining, businesses adopting Bitcoin as a financial management tool, and banks gradually expanding the accessibility of digital assets like USD stablecoins. He also mentioned critical challenges in the industry, warning of the risks of overissuing new tokens, arguing that such actions not only diverge from the original intent of optimizing global finance but also ironically contrast with the centralization and overissuance issues criticized in the industry.
