The justice and fairness of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is an unparalleled aspect, which is not only the foundation of Islamic society but also provides a guiding principle for all humanity. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made justice the foundation of the religion of Islam and proved through his actions that justice should always be based on truth and honesty, even if it is against a loved one.

Some important incidents of justice and fairness:

1. Justice in a case of theft:

A woman, Fatima bint Aswad, belonged to the tribe of Banu Makhzum and was caught in the crime of theft. Some people recommended that she not be punished because she belonged to a respectable family.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

"If Fatima bint Muhammad also steals, I will order her hand to be cut off."

(Sahih Bukhari)

This incident is clear evidence that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not allow anyone's status or affiliation to be an obstacle to justice.

2. Justice with a Jew:

A Jew sued Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in a case. The case was presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He (ﷺ) asked Ali (RA) for evidence and when he could not provide any evidence, the decision was in favor of the Jew. Seeing this justice, the Jew converted to Islam.

3. Justice in Treaties:

In Medina, he (ﷺ) treated all tribes and religions equally under the "Meesaq-e-Madina". This treaty is the highest example of justice and fairness, in which every class was given their rights.
