When to buy during a bear market? When to sell during a bull market?
When the market is down, we feel uncertain and don't know how low it will go. So when is the best time to buy, ensuring we don't lose too much and can pick up bargains? When a bull market arrives, when is the best time to sell to maximize profits? Don't worry, some small strategies can help you.
Take $DOGE for example, it previously surged to 0.5, and now it's dropped significantly.
If you have 50 dollars to invest, we can break it down into several steps and buy according to price ranges. Let me give you a practical example.
First, think about where you believe this token can drop to at its lowest. Theoretically, the lowest price is 0, but let's be practical, say we set it at 0.2, which was the price before the hype in November.
Then, based on your budget, set a budget for each step, whether it's 1 dollar, 5 dollars, or 50 dollars, do whatever feels comfortable. I'll choose 5 dollars for this example, let's call it B. Now, based on the budget, we will divide the price range from 0.2 to 0.45 into several steps. For instance, let's divide it into 10 steps; we'll call this number S. So the price difference for each step is 0.025.
Starting from 0.45, the first step would be 0.425, the second step 0.4, the third step 0.375, and so on.
Next, at each price point, we'll buy N dollars worth of Doge. In the end, you will have bought a total of NB dollars worth of Doge, which is 50 dollars here. But what if Doge hasn’t dropped to the bottom yet? Don't worry, you've already bought some at the mid-price. Although it’s not the lowest price, most of it is quite reasonable.
Of course, you can adjust the strategy, like setting the first step lower to find a better bottom, or narrowing the price difference for each step, or even using a doubling method to buy more at low prices.
This is just a beginner strategy, with less pressure, and you don’t have to worry about missing buying opportunities, just set it to buy automatically.
When you want to sell automatically during a bull market, we can use a similar strategy, but with the direction reversed, setting an upper limit and selling more step by step.
