Deep Tide TechFlow News, on December 15th, Social Capital founder Chamath Palihapitiya stated in an online meeting that it would take approximately 8000 Google quantum chips to crack the SHA-256 algorithm used by Bitcoin.

Earlier today, Chamath Palihapitiya posted on X: "Quantum computing will pose a risk to v1 encryption methods, but this is not something that can be achieved in the near future."
