Ukraine is taking steps to legalize cryptocurrency in early 2025. The head of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Committee Danylo Hetmantsev confirmed the development while speaking at the Pravda Economic Forum on domestic investment opportunities.

"We are trying to get this law and make cryptocurrency legal in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2025," Hetmantsev said.

The legislative work is being carried out jointly with the National Bank of Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The draft regulation is currently under development and is expected to be ready for first reading after the new year.
