Treasure is migrating over 15 games and significant assets including MAGIC, ERC-20 tokens, and hundreds of thousands of NFTs from its existing Arbitrum ecosystem to ZKsync.'
MAGIC Token: MAGIC is Treasure's native token. 'The MAGIC token is the backbone of the network, facilitating transactions, governance, and the overall economic landscape,' Treasure stated. DAO participants use this token in governance votes.
Migration to a New Blockchain: This initiative marks the latest project plan to shift to a new blockchain, showcasing how different Ethereum Layer-2s are developing unique ecosystems by providing varying technical and cultural attributes, potentially benefiting specific projects and communities.
Migration Vote: In September, Treasure DAO members voted to approve the migration from Arbitrum Orbit to ZKsync. The proposal indicated that ZKsync is more 'suitable' for Treasure's long-term plans in the decentralized gaming space. ZKsync is a Layer-2 scaling solution built on Ethereum by Matter Labs that processes transactions using 'zero-knowledge rollup' technology.
Commemorative Event: To celebrate this launch, Treasure has introduced the 'Decentralized Entertainment System: Cartridge' event, offering free commemorative NFT minting based on its game portfolio, inspired by classic gaming systems. New cartridges will be available for minting and collecting daily for a period following the launch.
Treasure was founded in 2021 and describes itself as a decentralized gaming console. The ecosystem features multiple Web3 games, including (The Beacon), (Zeeverse), (Wanderers), and (Smolbound).
