Movement has won big this time, conquering both the community and showcasing its strength to the outside world. It’s really been a long time since I’ve seen such a well-structured project; the only bug is that the grind for tokens in this area is likely to become fiercely competitive, and the next big token is uncertain.
It’s worth noting that Binance’s approach is also commendable, directly airdropping $MOVE to BNB holders, with about 1 BNB yielding 14 tokens. I saw a certain BNB whale getting 394,000 tokens for free, worth up to 400,000 USDT, really envious.
Undeniably, Movement is a typical VC project, having received a bunch of institutional investments, and their costs are very low. However, from my deep involvement in MOVE for several months, they are truly different; their emphasis on community is exceptionally high. I’d like to share some small stories I've learned:
① A group friend tearfully hand-grinded 50 accounts, planning to travel for the New Year.
At my repeated urging (perhaps I’m being overly sentimental), a group friend tearfully hand-grinded 50 accounts, purely manual, to the point that I dream about MOVE, and I feel nauseous every time I hear MOVE.
As a result, when MOVE airdropped, this guy averaged 1500 tokens per account, and many accounts were sold on-chain at high prices, resulting in nearly 1 million in earnings, preparing to take his family on a trip for the New Year.
In fact, this group friend is just one of many who grind for a living, improving their lives through hard work. So, please don’t look at us through colored glasses; earning money with your own hands deserves respect.
② The founder traveled to China to eat Haidilao with MOD.
Founder of Movement @rushimanche is young and promising, proactively providing funding for MOD to organize offline gatherings.
Interestingly, he also specifically went to China to eat Haidilao with MOD, likely gathering many suggestions about community building. I wonder if any photos were taken on-site; waiting for participants to share.
For a long time, many projects’ MODs have been powered by love, and airdrops may not have been weighted. The Move team demonstrates what respect means through action, hoping future projects can learn from MOVE to value and reward community contributors.
③ Average 2500 tokens airdropped per offline participant.
The Move Chinese community organized offline gatherings in Chengdu and Shenzhen, and it is said that each participant was given a banana role, with each role airdropping 2500 $MOVE tokens, which is quite a high price for a group performance.
It is said that this role was fought for by @boboNFA with the team, indicating two things: community unity, and the team listens to advice. Compared to some projects that only engage in PUA and ignore the community, MOVE is directly achieving greatness.
The above three small stories are all actual occurrences, and they are just the tip of the iceberg in MOVE's community building. Next, it’s all about MOVE's ecological construction.
I have always believed that for L1 and L2, the official pattern determines the ecological ceiling. MOVE’s operations are perfect; they have won over the community and set a good precedent for ecological construction. Waiting for the mainnet launch to build together.
