Starknet Staking Surpasses 88 Million STRK, Decentralization Concerns Arise
According to PANews, recent data from the Starknet blockchain explorer Voyager reveals that the staking volume of STRK tokens has exceeded 88 million, reaching a total of 88,824,576.64 STRK. This amount represents approximately 3.93% of the total circulating supply of 2,259,283,720 STRK tokens.
The data highlights that the smart contract wallet Argent currently holds the top position in staking, with a stake of around 31,789,734.747 STRK, accounting for 35.78% of the total staked amount. Following Argent, Karnot ranks second with a staking volume of approximately 16,734,057.944 STRK, making up 18.83% of the total.
Voyager has issued a caution to staking users, noting that the combined staking volume of these two leading validators has surpassed the 'centralization risk threshold.' To safeguard decentralization, Voyager advises users to diversify their staking across different validators. This approach is recommended to ensure the robustness and fairness of the network.
