Deep Tide TechFlow News, on December 6th, according to Blockworks, Solana Foundation's Strategic Director Austin Federa announced his departure to co-found the DoubleZero project with Mateo Ward and Andrew McConnell. The project aims to build high-performance network infrastructure specifically for blockchain by integrating idle fiber and submarine cable resources.
Federa has served at Solana for nearly four years and is an important public figure. The DoubleZero project will initially support Solana, employing a PoS penalty mechanism and token incentive model to enhance the efficiency of validation nodes by filtering redundant data. Jito Labs CEO Lucas Bruder called it "the most interesting experiment in the crypto space." The project's white paper points out that there are currently a large number of idle fiber resources globally that can be used to build the next generation of internet infrastructure.
