Indian government accuses Binance-linked company of owing approximately 8.5 million dollars in Goods and Services Tax

According to Techub News, local media Economic Times reported that Pankaj Chaudhary, the Minister of State for Finance of India, stated that the government has found several cryptocurrency exchanges owe 82.4 billion rupees (approximately 9.7 million dollars) in Goods and Services Tax.

The statement mentions that 17 cryptocurrency companies have been found to be involved in tax evasion, including WazirX, which owes 405 million rupees (approximately 4.8 million dollars), CoinDCX, which owes 168.4 million rupees (approximately 1.9 million dollars), and CoinSwitch Kuber, which owes 141.3 million rupees (approximately 1.7 million dollars).

One of the most significant cases involves Nest Services Ltd, a company associated with Binance Group, which has been accused of evading taxes of 72.243 billion rupees (approximately 8.5 million dollars).
