At around 18:00 on October 20, the Luolong Branch received a report from Yi that he was conducting a virtual currency transaction with another person near Binhe South Road and his 50,000 yuan in cash was robbed by the other party.
After receiving the call, the police quickly rushed to the scene. After preliminary investigation, it was found that Yi came to Luoyang from Zhengzhou that day and agreed with three suspects to trade virtual currency near Binhe South Road. During the transaction, the two parties parted unhappily because they failed to agree on the price. Afterwards, the two suspects caught up with Yi and said they wanted to continue the transaction. When counting the cash, one of them fled with 50,000 yuan, and the other took out a fruit knife to threaten Yi not to call the police, and then fled the scene.
Overnight investigation to find clues
After the incident, Luolong Branch attached great importance to it and quickly launched an integrated intelligence, command and action combat mechanism, with the Criminal Investigation Brigade taking the lead and relevant police forces cooperating to fully carry out case investigation work.
The police officers in charge of the case retrieved surveillance videos from the surrounding areas and found that the three suspects drove away after committing the crime. Using the vehicle as a starting point, the police quickly locked onto the identity information and residence of the owner, Mr. Hu, and rushed to Yanshi overnight to take Mr. Hu under control.
After a sudden interrogation, Hu confessed that at around 2 p.m. on November 20, his friend Cai called him and asked him to drive to Luoyang together. Later, Hu drove Cai, Chang and Ma to Luoyang to meet a man driving an Audi. The man said that someone wanted him to buy virtual currency and asked them to buy a knife to scare the other party. Virtual currency transactions are not protected by law, and the other party did not dare to call the police easily. After learning about the situation, Hu was afraid of being cracked down by the police, so he left alone by car and did not act with Cai and the other three.
Following the clues, they were captured one by one
After grasping this important clue, the police officers in charge of the case immediately started to investigate Cai, Chang and Ma, and at the same time, they investigated the social relations of the three and tracked down the identity information of another man. After colliding a large number of clues, it was determined that Cai and Chang lived in a rental house in Yanshi District, and Ma was hiding in a friend's house. The police officers in charge of the case went to Yanshi again in two groups and deployed control on the three at the same time. After squatting and waiting, Cai and Chang were arrested near a shopping mall on the evening of the 21st, and Ma was also arrested at his friend's house at the same time.
After a sudden interrogation overnight, the three confessed to their illegal and criminal acts, and explained the fact that another man, Guo, organized the crime through remote control. The last suspect finally surfaced, and the police arrested Guo in a hotel in the city on the evening of the 22nd through investigation and surveillance.
