Odaily Planet Daily News: A former official of the Biden administration has agreed to guarantee the hybrid work rights of tens of thousands of Social Security Administration employees, complicating President-elect Trump's efforts to reshape the federal workforce. According to an email obtained for union members, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), representing 42,000 Social Security Administration workers, reached an agreement with the agency last week to secure remote work until 2029 in the updated contract. AFGE chapter president Rich Couture wrote that this new agreement, signed by Martin O'Malley, the Social Security Administration director just resigned by President Biden, will allow employees to 'maintain the current level of remote work.'
