Ripple's XRP token surpassed Solana's market capitalization for the first time in the current market cycle on December 1, making XRP the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

According to data from CoinMarketCap, XRP XRPR$15.65 had a market capitalization of over $122 billion at the time of writing, compared to Solana's $111.9 billion SOLR$1,383.33 .

Ripple's native token has soared in recent weeks. The rally, which began on November 10, reached a peak price of $2.19 on December 1, marking a seven-year high.

The meteoric performance of XRP's price can be attributed to a growing number of key partnerships, new product developments from Ripple Labs, the possibility of an XRP ETF, and unconfirmed rumors that Elon Musk would make a large investment in XRP and the Ripple.
