According to PANEWS research, the Hyperliquid airdrop distributed a total of 310 million tokens. Even at an opening price of $2, the scale of the airdrop reached $620 million. The price of HYPE peaked at $9.8 on December 1. A total of 94,000 addresses received the airdrop, with an average of 2,915 HYPE received per address. However, 56.6% of users claimed no more than 100 tokens. The highest amount claimed by a single address was 970,000 tokens. However, some critics argue that HYPE is currently just a standalone coin and can only be traded on Hyperliquid. The Hyperliquid Foundation has stated: "There is no allocation for private investors, centralized exchanges, or market makers."
