Changpeng Zhao, known in the cryptocurrency world by the pseudonym CZ, reported on social media that he does not plan to return as CEO of Binance, the exchange he founded in 2017. Instead, the billionaire expressed serious interest in receiving a pardon from elected President Donald Trump, who advocates for cryptocurrency.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), John Lilic, founder of Telos, a Web3 studio, urged Trump to pardon CZ so that he could again take the helm of Binance. In response, Zhao explained that while he does not want to lead Binance again, he is open to a pardon.
