#ETHOnTheRise Former Binance employee accused the exchange's management of bribery
Amrita Srivastava, who worked at Binance Holdings from 2022 to 2023, filed a lawsuit against the UK division of the company, accusing it of bribery and unfair dismissal. This was reported by Bloomberg.
The document states that she became aware of a colleague receiving bribes from a client 'under the guise of providing consulting services.' He has since left the firm.
Srivastava informed top management, and a month later, she lost her job.
According to her, she encountered a 'chaotic' environment and 'pressure to close deals' at the company.
The platform sought to fill a 'gap' in income after it was revealed that about a quarter of the revenue from the division's services previously came from a client linked to Iran, she stated.
According to court documents, Binance executives were already aware of the bribery incident. The company had a culture of regularly filtering out dishonest employees.
