XRP once again becomes the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap, returning to the levels before the SEC/Ripple lawsuit

FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett stated on X: "XRP's market capitalization has just surpassed USDT, becoming the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap, returning to the levels before the SEC/Ripple lawsuit.
Before Hinman's speech in June 2018, the SEC had once considered BTC and ETH as non-securities, on the grounds of being 'sufficiently decentralized,' while XRP was actually the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, right after ETH. After the speech, Ethereum's market cap surpassed XRP in November 2018.
The so-called 'Hinman emails' found in the Ripple case show that some officials within the SEC had differing opinions on the speech's content, expressing concerns that the speech might affect the regulatory status of other cryptocurrencies.
Six years later, the regulatory status remains unclear.
