Stay away from leverage because it is forbidden and a loss of money

Now guys, I have $150. I entered into a futures deal with a leverage of 3. I made a profit of $1. I sold. I looked at the basic balance. Why did it go down to 149? It should be 151, not 149. What is the reason that the balance is decreasing and not increasing?
