What to do if someone on a P2P platform wants to buy cryptocurrency from you, but the buyer sent funds from a third party despite your ban?

Possible actions in such a situation:

1️⃣ Return the funds to the sender and ask the buyer to cancel the transaction.

2️⃣ Send cryptocurrency to the buyer, despite the fact that the transfer came from another person (but this is risky).

3️⃣ Do not transfer cryptocurrency and keep the funds for yourself.

⚠️ In the third case, the buyer can open an appeal. If the transfer was indeed made by a third party, the buyer will be able to provide receipts and invoices, which may work in his favor.

In P2P trading, unusual situations may arise, including bank intervention. For example, I once had an appeal opened, and Binance support asked for a transfer history. Due to a bank error, the transfers did not appear on the statement, which complicated the process.

👉 Tip: In such cases, ask the support service for more time and provide SMS notifications about receipts if the bank delays updating the history.
