Cardano core developer Sebastian Guillemot revealed that its first zero-knowledge (ZK) transaction Halo2 is now live on the mainnet, with the transaction hash being “71579b77ab7d974eb31ef1b50d58f14f2ceac2bcf540aac50f777f56a8f24bff”. Input Output Global noted in another article that it has launched the Halo2 ZK Proof verification activity. The direct goal of this initiative is to serve the Ad Hoc Threshold Multi-Signature scheme (ATMS), allowing for the verification of 50 out of 90 signatures. When simulating real-world use cases of this smart contract protocol, IOHK reported lower transaction fees on the testnet. A token lock incurs a transaction fee of only 0.16 ADA. Additionally, the total unlocking fees on Halo2 amount to 2.03 ADA. (CoinGape)
