Odaily Planet Daily News: DIA has launched the Lumina testnet today. Lumina is its new modular oracle infrastructure designed to enhance transparency, scalability, and integration flexibility, aiming to address common issues with existing oracles, allowing for cross-chain data aggregation, verification, and delivery. Its architecture differs from other oracle solutions like Chainlink and API3, as it supports multiple messaging protocols, is compatible with non-EVM chains, and provides comprehensive data traceability. DIA's product lead, Zygis Marazas, stated that previously, access to the sources and flows of oracle data was often opaque, but Lumina offers complete visibility into the entire process. Currently, participation in this testnet will be limited, with the mainnet planned for release in the first quarter of 2025, operating as a fully permissionless network. New chains and assets requiring oracle services can also be inserted without the direct involvement of the DIA team. This eliminates the need for a manual onboarding process. (Blockworks)
