PANews reported on November 26, according to Cointelegraph, that the Ethereum Layer 2 network Base has just set a record of 106 TPS, further surpassing Taiko to become the fastest Ethereum Layer 2 solution, and its total locked value (TVL) has recently exceeded $10 billion. This marks an increase of nearly 28% in Base's TPS since November 23. According to Base founder Jesse Pollak, in January, Base's average TPS was only 4.
According to L2BEAT data, the TVL value of Base has increased to $10.68 billion after surpassing the $10 billion mark on November 15, making it the second-largest Ethereum Layer 2 by TVL, only behind Arbitrum One's $18.3 billion. Previously, Arbitrum One surpassed OP Mainnet to take second place in June. L2BEAT states that this brings the total locked value of Ethereum Layer 2 solutions to $49.3 billion.
