BIT Mining has agreed to pay a $10 million fine as part of a settlement with U.S. authorities over allegations that it bribed Japanese officials to obtain a resort license. 🏝️ The company admitted violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, including conspiracy and falsifying documents.

Former CEO Zhengming Pan is also charged with conspiracy and violating anti-corruption provisions. BIT Mining has entered into a three-year deferred prosecution agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and the SEC.
