On November 21, 2024, blockchain $SUI encountered a technical failure and did not process new blocks for two hours. The developers of the project confirmed the difficulties, which took some time to resolve. Users of the social network X (formerly Twitter) were the first to report the failure. They noted that the network stopped processing blocks at 11:00 AM Kyiv time. During the analysis, some cybersecurity specialists suggested that the problem might be related to a DOS error in the project's structure.

"Upon investigation, it was found that there was a denial of service on the Sui Network node due to integer overflow," said representatives of the ExVul platform.

The mentioned experts also pointed out a specific segment of code where, in their opinion, the problem was hidden. The ExVul team offered the Sui developers options for fixing the failure, but did not specify whether the blockchain representatives took this advice.
