BlockBeats News, on November 20, according to Arkham data, Bhutan has accumulated 12,207 bitcoins, worth approximately $1.14 billion, accounting for 34% of its total GDP. These bitcoin holdings come from the bitcoin mining activities conducted by Bhutan's investment arm, Druk Holdings. Currently, Bhutan ranks third in the latest government bitcoin holdings list, only behind the United States and the United Kingdom.

Ujjwal Deep Dahal, CEO of Bhutan's investment arm Druk Holding & Investments, stated in an interview that mining is the least risky way for Bhutan to participate in the crypto space, and currently, the country will focus on bitcoin mining.
