The American software developer MicroStrategy acquired another 51,780 bitcoins for a total of $4.6 billion, making it the company's largest bitcoin purchase. In a report submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), MicroStrategy announced the purchase of 51,780 bitcoins at an average price of $88,627 per BTC. As a result, the volume of the first cryptocurrency on the company's accounts reached 331,200 coins. The purchase was made using proceeds from the sale of MicroStrategy shares between November 11 and 17, which brought the company over $4 billion. A week earlier, MicroStrategy informed investors of the acquisition of a batch of bitcoins totaling 27,200 coins, at that time its corporate reserves increased to 279,420 BTC. MicroStrategy stated that more than $2 billion was directed towards the acquisition of the first cryptocurrency.
