According to ChainCatcher, President-elect Trump confirmed on Monday that he will declare a national emergency to implement a large-scale (illegal immigrant) deportation operation. Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, posted on Truth Social that Trump "is ready to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse Biden's 'invasion' through a large-scale deportation plan." Trump responded, "Correct!!"
It is reported that Judicial Watch is a nonprofit organization in the United States that files lawsuits under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to investigate misconduct by government officials and is committed to promoting transparency, integrity and accountability in government, politics and law.
Nevertheless, Politico reported that the Trump team is drafting executive orders that can withstand legal tests to avoid the failure he encountered when trying to implement similar decrees during his first term.
