Revealing $PEPE : Destroying half makes it scarce? It's not that simple!
This PEPE thing sounds a bit mysterious, but to put it simply, it's not a big deal. Initially, there were a total of 420 trillion PEPE tokens. The developers saw that with so many tokens floating in the market, who would find them rare? So, they decided to destroy 210 trillion tokens, which is half of the total, to make everyone think that these tokens are more precious and valuable.
But there's a trap to watch out for: destroying tokens doesn’t mean the total number decreases. That total number is like a rule set for PEPE; no matter how many you destroy, the rule still stands at 420 trillion.
You might think, if half are destroyed, wouldn’t the circulating tokens in the market be halved? Haha, you’re thinking too optimistically. The destroyed tokens might find their way back to the market one day through other means. For example, you might stake your tokens to earn rewards, or the tokens could be thrown into a liquidity pool, or even distributed again through community activities.
Moreover, the destruction of tokens doesn’t have to happen all at once; it could be a gradual process, or maybe after some are destroyed, new ones are issued. Additionally, the project might issue new tokens for various needs, such as staking rewards, airdrops, community benefits, etc. In this case, the number of circulating tokens in the market may still be quite substantial.
So, we need to clarify two concepts: one is the circulating tokens in the market, which are the ones you can buy and use; the other is the initially set maximum number of tokens, which is fixed at 420 trillion for PEPE. Just because half have been destroyed doesn’t mean the circulating tokens are also halved; that would be a major misunderstanding.
Recently, I plan to ambush a potential coin ready to explode, doubling my investment should be quite simple. At the same time, I’m looking for some potential coins to hold until the end of the year, with an expected upside of over 10 times, which is definitely feasible. Spots are limited!
