According to ChainCatcher news and reported by Cointelegraph, N.G. Zhang, founder and CEO of Bitcoin mining machine manufacturer Canaan, recently revealed in an interview that the company plans to launch the Mini series home miners by the end of this year, with a maximum power of about 800W, using the latest chips, and with a maximum computing power of up to 40T, while also having heating functions.

Zhang stated that the shipment of the Avalon Nano3 series home miners launched by the company last quarter has exceeded 10,000 units. He believes that home mining products are expected to account for 20% of the overall mining market in the future, which will greatly enhance the security of the Bitcoin network.

Looking back over the past decade, Zhang pointed out that the performance of mining machines has improved by about 3000 times, from the first generation Avalon miner with 66Ghs computing power and 700W power consumption, to the 15th generation A1566 with over 200,000 Ghs computing power and 3600W power consumption, while energy efficiency has improved nearly 600 times. Currently, the A1566 miner has achieved 210THs computing power, and some high-end models can achieve energy efficiency below 17J/TH.
