According to Foresight News, CoinDesk reported that BonkDAO recently destroyed 100 billion BONK in circulation and plans to destroy 1 trillion BONK before Christmas in December. This large-scale destruction plan (BURNmas) will start at 8:01 Beijing time on November 15 and end at 8:01 Beijing time on December 24. The amount of BONK accumulated by the BONK community through the following various activities will be destroyed at 8:01 Beijing time on December 25. BONK core contributor @iamkadense posted on X: "7.7 trillion BONK has been destroyed, and the amount of destruction is still increasing every day. In addition to the 100 billion BONKs destroyed recently, another 1 trillion BONKs will be destroyed at BONKmas, and the community may not stop there." These destroyed tokens will come from applications in the Solana ecosystem that use BONK to implement one or more functions. According to the official post, these include the burning of bets placed on Dragontail, Christmas cards sent using BONKmark, transactions conducted on LiveBonk, and other applications specified by BONK’s X-account.
