I'm so happy! First of all, I didn't expect to win the Women in Tech Latam in Peru. It was really a surprise. Really a surprise. So much so that I didn't go to the awards ceremony that took place in Lima at the end of August this year. I woke up the next day to a bunch of messages and thought: I'm going to Paris, yes!
With these words and a lot of emotion, Helô Passos, CEO and founder of Trexx, spoke to BeInCrypto Brasil directly from Paris about the global recognition she received at the Woman in Tech Awards.
Women in Tech has seven regional awards and one global award
Don't worry, you didn't read that wrong. The executive had to go through a few stages before arriving in Paris and taking home the global award. Selected from among six thousand nominees, leaving behind more than 300 regional finalists, Helô was among the 63 chosen from around the world. And she ended the day among the nine winners of the Women in Tech Awards in the French capital.

The Brazilian's path included a three-month world tour, involving seven regional awards in Latin America, North America, Africa, Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The winners of each of the nine award categories in these regions met in France to compete for the global titles. Trexx’s CEO raised the Brazilian flag for Women in Web3, a category that recognizes women who make notable contributions to Web3 technologies such as blockchain, decentralized applications and cryptocurrencies.
Then I came – Helô continues, very excited. They are very, very exceptional women in what they do. For example, the CEO of Unstoppable Domains, the head of blockchain at the Bank of Luxembourg. Many important representatives. I was extremely honored to be among them. And when the presenter said Helô Passos, it was insane.

Dream big!
I was crying and couldn't make the speech properly. All I could say was that I was surprised because they had other amazing women. In other words, dreaming big and dreaming small is the same work! So we have to dream big and inspire other women, says Helô.
Female leaders received recognition in several areas. Including, for example, honors for young people with innovative projects and technology skills, encouraging careers in STEM. Inclusion, diversity, and sustainable changes in technology were also highlighted by the winners.
The initiative was supported by giants such as Amazon, Mastercard, The Sandbox, the United Nations and the Cardano Foundation. Its goal is to highlight and honor exceptional women, initiatives and organizations that are shaping the future of technology and, above all, inspiring the next generation of innovators.
The Woman in Web3 Award celebrates leadership and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of decentralized technologies. It recognizes women who make notable contributions to blockchain, decentralized applications and cryptocurrency, the Women in Tech website explains.
Helô, who has a degree in animation design and a postgraduate degree in Creative Economy Management, despite her young age, has over a decade of experience in creative markets and new economies. Today, the CEO of Trexx works on financial inclusion through games. The company currently operates at the intersection of blockchain, finance and games, with the mission of expanding financial access.
Founded in 2022, Trexx has already won six awards in international competitions. Including a presentation with commentary by none other than Vitalik Buterin.
