According to ChainCatcher, New York State Supreme Court Judge Vincent Dinolov ruled that Greenidge Generation's Bitcoin mining facility will continue to operate, overturning the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC)'s previous decision to refuse to renew the (Title V air permit). The judge pointed out that DEC made legal errors in its final decision and acted arbitrarily and repeatedly.
Greenidge said that (the climate bill) does not give DEC officials the power to change the law or decide the value of working-class jobs on their own. As of the third quarter, Greenidge managed 3.1 EH/s of computing capacity, of which 1.3 EH/s was its own computing power and 1.8 EH/s came from managed computing power, with the majority of electricity provided by its facility in Dresden, New York.
