🔥Imagine losing your wallet funds because you don't know your seed phrase 😭
This is a scenario that is hard to imagine, as we all trust that our funds will be safe in our #billetera . However, this happened to a group of users who used the Phantom wallet.
According to a statement from the Phantom wallet provider, a group of users on IOS had their application reset, logging them out of their #billeteras and forcing them to reconfigure their wallet by entering their seed phrase. There were some users who did not have their seed phrase saved, and lost their funds.
This happened when Phantom was implementing a new update for IOS, and when they realized what was happening, they released an emergency patch to prevent it from affecting more users.
Being a non-custodial wallet, Phantom cannot offer much help to those users who have lost their seed phrases, as it does not have them stored.
It is the responsibility of each user to save the seed phrase of their wallet.
