VanEck CEO Predicts Bitcoin at $300,000
The first cryptocurrency will reach $300,000. This opinion was expressed by VanEck CEO Jan Van Eck in an interview with CNBC.
“Bitcoin will update its historical maximum today [November 8] and, I think, will continue to grow. Ultimately, I think Bitcoin’s capitalization will reach half of gold, so we are talking about $300,000 per Bitcoin,” he said.
Van Eck called his forecast “balanced.” According to him, maximalists are confident that the first cryptocurrency will overtake gold.
“Bitcoin is digital gold for me,” VanEck CEO emphasized.
In August, he predicted digital gold at $350,000, when its capitalization will reach half of the main precious metal. At the same time, Van Eck said that he had invested “more than 30%” of his capital in Bitcoin.
Earlier, VanEck experts allowed the growth of the first cryptocurrency to $2.9 million by 2050 against the backdrop of the asset's adoption as a global medium of exchange and reserve currency.
Recall that in November, Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee predicted Bitcoin at $100,000 by the end of 2024.
