Foresight News reports that the Ethereum Foundation has announced the launch of the first short-term Pectra testnet, Mekong, after evaluating the scope of the Pectra fork, a successful interoperability event, and four development networks. The Mekong testnet includes all EIP proposals that will be used for the Ethereum Pectra fork. These changes include user experience (UX) improvements implemented through EIP-7702, staking changes through EIP-7251, and changes to deposit and exit mechanisms through EIP-6110/EIP-7002.
