In the early hours of November 6 (local time), former President Donald Trump stepped onto the stage at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, to declare victory in the 2024 US presidential election at a time when the final results had not yet been confirmed.

The billionaire born in 1946 appeared with his family alongside his wife Melania, and all five children, with Ivanka's appearance - seen standing next to her husband Jared Kushner and JD Vance, Trump's vice presidential candidate - attracting much attention.

Ivanka and her husband also attended the election-watching party at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on the night of November 5. According to the New York Times, this event was for a select few donors, including Caitlyn Jenner, father of Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and billionaire Elon Musk.

Almost disappeared from politics

Once a senior advisor and representative for the Republican campaign, the eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump has now almost disappeared from politics.

The eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump has clearly distanced herself from her father's current election campaign.

In the previous two election campaigns of the former president, Ivanka Trump appeared at rallies, in television ads, and on national convention stages, often in a subtle role to attract women voters, according to the New York Times.

However, in 2022, when the former president launched his third White House run, his daughter declared that she and her husband - Jared Kushner - would step back from politics to prioritize raising their children and building the family.

"While I always love and support my father, in the future, I will express that outside of politics," Ivanka Trump said at the time.

Thus, throughout what could be Trump's final election campaign, Ivanka has become a silent observer and has shown little intention of publicly assisting her father.

Ivanka Trump decided to distance herself from her father's political career amid his facing four separate criminal trials and being indicted with 34 felonies in his hometown of Manhattan.

One of Ivanka Trump's most prominent appearances in the 2024 election was at her father's civil fraud case in the fall of 2023, where she testified that she was not "aware" of her father's financial situation.

Ivanka Trump also declined to be interviewed and said Kushner would represent her family in speaking. When asked about Ivanka Trump's potential re-entry into her father's campaign, Kushner bluntly replied: "That is not going to happen."

"Our lives will just go on,"

Kushner added that Ivanka Trump "made the decision to close the political chapter of her life when she left Washington and has shown determination with that choice."

Kushner later said that the results of the 2024 election would not significantly affect their family.

"We support Trump, clearly we are proud of him," Kushner said. "But no matter what the outcome is, our lives will just go on."

Ivanka Trump's absence from her father's important events has attracted public attention in the US. Unlike her brothers Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump did not attend her father's trial in Manhattan, where the former president was convicted of 34 felonies.

Despite appearing on the final night of the Republican National Convention in July, Ivanka Trump did not speak, in contrast to her active participation in her father's previous two election campaigns.

Not only Ivanka Trump but also former First Lady Melania Trump has kept a certain distance from this 78-year-old politician's campaign. Both were absent from the women's conference held in Georgia and hosted by Fox News in October.

In the past, women who supported Trump tried to build the image of the former president as a champion for women, according to the New York Times.

Susan Del Percio, a Republican political strategist, noted that the absence of Trump's wife and daughter in this year's campaign somewhat affects the former president's competitiveness.

"She (Ivanka Trump) may not bring many positive results by participating in the campaign, but the absence of both Melania and Ivanka Trump has had a significant impact," said Del Percio, emphasizing that issues like reproductive rights are top concerns for voters when casting their ballots.

Trump occasionally mentions his daughter in public speeches. At a mothers' recognition event in August, the former president said he once wanted his eldest daughter to serve as US ambassador to the United Nations, but she declined.

"She can do anything," Trump said. "A model knowledge seeker, a wonderful girl, everything is great."

The former president also mentioned his eldest daughter at a women's event organized by Fox News in October. He praised Ivanka Trump for advocating for tax exemptions for children.

"You guys haven't heard much about Ivanka lately, have you?" Trump said, making the audience laugh. "We had the most simple and beautiful time together."

The real reason behind Ivanka Trump's withdrawal from her father's inner circle has raised many doubts. The couple Ivanka Trump leaving Washington for Miami in 2021 with their three children has even been seen by many as a form of "exile."

The Ivanka Trump family currently lives in a mansion in Biscayne Bay, which is seen as the "billionaires' bunker" in Florida. This area is a gated community consisting of only a few dozen houses, some of which are rumored to belong to Jeff Bezos and Tom Brady.

The aforementioned residential area has private security forces, is highly protected, and can only be accessed by boat or through a security checkpoint bridge. This is considered the most "gated" community in Miami.

Kushner previously explained that the move to Biscayne Bay was because Miami "is an emerging city" and "much safer than New York."

Observers also believe that the Javanka family, the shorthand name for the Kushner and Ivanka Trump family, has become wealthier after not having to endure the ethical constraints of working in government.

"Now they are much wealthier than when they were in government," author Victor Ward said. After leaving his position as a senior advisor in the White House, Kushner now runs a $3 billion investment fund with management fees of at least $112 million per year.

After leaving New York and then Washington, Ivanka Trump gave up her business in fashion and jewelry. Since settling in Miami, Ivanka Trump has shifted to freelance business and investing in companies, according to friends and advisors to her.

Now, Ivanka Trump's daily life revolves around taking care of her three young children along with her 98-year-old grandmother and some pets. Ivanka Trump also spends time practicing some sports, martial arts, breathing exercises, and meditating.

Despite rumors of being "exiled" from New York, Ivanka Trump still appeared at several prominent events. In the fall of 2023, she attended Kim Kardashian's birthday in Beverly Hills and billionaire Bezos's birthday in Los Angeles in January.

Ivanka Trump was also present at the Ambani wedding in India earlier this year and occasionally appears in New York for parties.

Whether the Javanka family can be accepted back into New York's elite is still a big question.

However, friends and acquaintances of Ivanka Trump say that the 43-year-old entrepreneur is no longer concerned about fame but is focusing on efforts to improve her quality of life.

"Miami now feels like home to them," Julie Brawn, who has known Ivanka Trump for two decades and lives near the Javanka family in Miami, said. "She is very happy with her current lifestyle."
