Is ETH Too Weak Compared to the Overall Market This Season?
Ethereum (ETH) is currently facing many challenges as direct competitors like Solana, TON, and Sui are rapidly developing. Solana stands out with its processing speed and low costs, attracting many DeFi and NFT projects that ETH previously dominated. TON leverages support from a large user community and integration with social networks, increasing pressure on ETH. Sui, although new, is proving its potential through scalability and attracting developers.
To address issues of cost and transaction speed, Ethereum has utilized Layer 2 solutions like Optimism, Arbitrum, and zkSync. While improving performance, these Layer 2 solutions also create complexity for users and sometimes lead investors to shift to other platforms, affecting the demand for ETH.
However, ETH still maintains its appeal to the community thanks to a rich dApp ecosystem, stability, and improvements such as the transition to Proof of Stake. Although investor confidence may be shaken by competition, ETH remains a reliable platform for long-term investment. Meanwhile, platforms like Solana and TON are more suitable for short-term strategies, especially for those seeking rapid growth.
