CZ: Very optimistic about investment opportunities in the Middle East, focusing on blockchain, AI, biotechnology and other fields

On November 5th, news emerged that CZ, following his appearance at the Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai at the end of October, appeared on November 3rd in another Middle Eastern country, Bahrain. He told reporters that before Binance obtained the virtual asset service provider (VASP) license issued by Dubai, the first similar license obtained in the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was in Bahrain.

While attending the second Gateway Gulf Investment Forum held in Bahrain, CZ stated, "Many people do not know the good here." Bahrain, as a country that is also friendly to cryptocurrency, is relatively lesser-known. After obtaining the license as a crypto asset service provider granted by the Central Bank of Bahrain, Binance also received approval for a banking license from the CBB, which means that Binance has directly opened up channels for fiat currency to flow in and out locally.

CZ also mentioned that he learned that Hong Kong peers are actively exploring RWA, but the price fluctuations of real-world assets are relatively small, making it difficult to form sufficient trading volume in the secondary market, and liquidity can easily shrink over time, waiting for innovators to propose use cases that truly bring liquidity.

In addition, CZ expressed great optimism about investment opportunities in the Middle East, not only primarily focusing on blockchain investments but also strategically positioning in areas such as AI and biotechnology in GCC countries.
