Original title: (Overview of worthy donation projects in Gitcoin Grant 22 round)

Original author: CryptoLeo, Odaily Planet Daily

This round of Gitcoin GG 22 donations mainly includes OSS programs and seven community-led rounds. Compared to the previous GG 21 round (see (Selected Gitcoin Grant 21 worthy donation projects)), this round of donation projects tends to focus more on projects related to crypto infrastructure, dApps, and developers. Additionally, Gitcoin Grant 22 has integrated the Quick Bridge feature, allowing users to perform cross-bridge and Swap on the platform.

Odaily Planet Daily has selected four important OSS program rounds from the GG 22 donations for further introduction.

Moreover, as the U.S. presidential election approaches, cryptocurrency advocacy organizations are also worth paying attention to. The donation deadline for selected projects is November 7 at 22:59 Beijing time. Below are detailed introductions to the recommended donation projects, and you can click the corresponding link to go directly to the donation page.

BrightID is an identity proof solution focused on anti-witchcraft proof in the Web3 field and does not require biometric verification like worldcoin's Orb. It is available on both Google Play and the App Store, but BrightID peaked in 2021, and its token and market performance are average.

L2BEAT

L2BEAT is similar to DefiLlama and is also a commonly used Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain data analysis platform.

Dappnode

Dappnode is a decentralized infrastructure platform that allows users to easily host their own decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain nodes. Dappnode can easily host and run various types of blockchain software, such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, IPFS, etc. The platform also provides users with a user-friendly interface to manage and monitor their nodes.

GG 22 OSS - dApps and Apps

This section aims to accelerate the adoption and development of open-source dApps and applications that provide novel utilities or services in the ecosystem, including dApps and applications that enhance Web3 accessibility and usability, as well as some applications that contribute to financial inclusion, education, and social impact. The matching pool amount is 300,000 USDC, with a total of 148 projects. The following are recommended donation projects:

Hey.xyz

Hey.xyz (formerly Lenster) is a decentralized, permissionless social media application powered by Lens Protocol, built on the Polygon network. Users can seamlessly interact with dApps without paying any gas fees. Lens Protocol is a decentralized social graph created by Aave. Compared to other social media, Hey requires less personal information and has strong privacy features.

Superchain Eco dApps

Superchain Eco is an incubation platform focused on the adoption and development of Superchain and broader Ethereum L2, primarily providing solutions in product, governance, strategy, business, and marketing for projects in the Optimism and Superchain ecosystems. It also offers free services to projects on the Optimism mainnet. Event Horizon

Event Horizon is a DAO governance forum focused on public interest and public access governance pools, aimed at empowering every DAO citizen to vote with a majority of small voters. Event Horizon has introduced a novel governance mechanism: Implicit Delegation. Its voting pool is not based on the decisions of one person or group but on the collective cognition of hundreds of Event Horizon voting pass holders, enhancing the decentralization of the DAO and allowing the DAO community to receive more long-tail distribution voices and meaningful suggestions.

Nextme

Nextme is a cross-platform decentralized social economy network supporting 26+ EVM and Solana chains, focusing on the creator economy, similar to Farcaster integrated with PayPal's Venmo.
