Odaily Planet Daily News: Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently discussed Bitcoin and BitcoinOS (BOS), an operating system for smart contracts designed for Bitcoin, aimed at providing advanced features and seamless interoperability. In a recent collaboration announcement, Cardano partnered with BOS to integrate the Grail bridge, thereby establishing a connection between Cardano DeFi and Bitcoin's $1.3 trillion liquidity. BOS stated that this collaboration provides Cardano users and developers with secure, trustless access to Bitcoin assets, enhancing cross-chain compatibility and boosting Cardano's DeFi potential. In a recent interview, Hoskinson talked about BOS and Hydra, exploring the possibility of using BOS and Cardano together with the Hydra L2 solution. Hydra improves Cardano's transaction efficiency and reduces latency by processing flows off-chain, supporting parallel transactions through 'Hydra Heads' or state channels for faster interactions. During the discussion, Hoskinson mentioned that developers successfully ran the classic video game 'Doom' on Hydra, with smart contracts verifying the changes in the in-game state. This means that every action taken by players—whether walking, shooting, or looking around—is recorded as transactions through smart contract calls on the Hydra L2 chain. Hoskinson went on to say, 'Next, we will try to get the Nintendo emulator running on Hydra.' (Bitcoin.com)
