The meme launch platform Pump.fun on the Solana chain has launched a new trading bot and revealed that it will issue tokens, possibly with airdrops.

The meme coin launch platform Pump.fun plans to issue tokens and may conduct airdrops for users. This news was announced during the launch of the new trading terminal Pump Advanced in Twitter Spaces, which aims to compete with tools like Photon and Bull X.

Since its launch in January, Pump.fun has created over 2.5 million Solana tokens, generating 140 million dollars in fee revenue. It has also consolidated some of this year's wildest meme coin trends, from celebrity Meta to live dangerous stunts. Last Saturday, Pump.fun announced the launch of a trading bot in Twitter Spaces.

Pump Advanced claims to be more optimized than its competitors' trading bots because it is developed in-house. In the first month, it will not charge fees to attract a batch of eager speculative traders.

After announcing in Twitter Spaces, the team took questions from 11,000 listeners. At this point, one of the project's anonymous co-founders, Sapijiju, revealed information about the upcoming token and possible airdrops.

"We do plan to launch the token at some point in the future. I won't say when, but everything will be fine," said Sapijiju. "Our airdrop, no guarantees here, could be more lucrative than anyone else in the field."

Currently, there is no schedule or further details provided regarding token issuance or airdrops. That said, since Pump.fun is a Solana application, the token is likely to be issued on the same network.

Last week, Pump.fun's trading volume hit an all-time high, surpassing 1.1 billion dollars. Additionally, the protocol issued a record daily issuance of tokens, totaling 31,600.

Pump.fun allows any user to issue tokens through the platform within a few minutes after filling out a simple form. Initially, the protocol charged 7 dollars worth of SOL to create tokens, but this barrier was removed in August, adding a reward of 0.5 SOL (80 dollars) for successful token developers who meet a certain market cap benchmark.

Following this shift, Pump.fun has created some of the biggest meme coins of the year, including the AI-conceived Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) and the viral Web2 meme Moo Deng (MOODENG).

Throughout August and September, the Tron-based SunPump posed a brief survival threat to the Solana protocol. According to Dune, during this period, Pump.fun deployed only 5,000 to 10,000 tokens daily, but has since recovered and achieved record results.
