【MetaMask and Digital Identity Company Space ID Aim to Simplify Cryptocurrency】
MetaMask and Space ID announced their integration aimed at simplifying the transfer of digital assets and access to cryptocurrency wallets. This integration allows users to replace the 42-character alphanumeric wallet address with a simple and customizable identifier when making MetaMask transactions, avoiding input errors that could lead to loss of funds. Space ID users only need to enter a simple username to send cryptocurrency.
Space ID is a Web3 domain and identity platform that allows users to manage digital assets through a single interface. In 2022, Binance Labs led the seed funding round for Space ID.
MetaMask Product Manager Christian Montoya stated that this integration will enable "MetaMask users to send and receive cryptocurrency more easily and securely on any EVM-compatible chain." Earlier, Consensys, the company that developed MetaMask, also acquired Wallet Guard to improve its security.
Additionally, Space ID stated that users will be able to manage and store identifiers across multiple chains within a single wallet, further enhancing convenience.
