What is Layer 2?
I imagined a highway overpass that helps manage the traffic below. This Layer 2 is built on top of the existing highway, for example Erhereum, allowing for a faster flow of transactions, such as cars, without having to merge into the slower, more crowded lanes below.
The best example is #Mantle , which uses so-called optimistic aggregation. It's like a ride-sharing system that takes a bunch of transactions and efficiently combines them into a single, optimized package, easing the load on the network.
