According to TechFlow, on October 17, global financial services company Euroclear announced that it had acquired a strategic stake in Singapore's digital market infrastructure operator Marketnode. The specific transaction amount was not disclosed.

Marketnode was co-founded by Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) and Temasek in 2021. It is a financial market infrastructure based on distributed ledger technology (DLT) in the Asia-Pacific region. The company operates two main platforms: Gateway and Fundnode, which focus on tokenization and fund management respectively. In May this year, HSBC also invested in Marketnode.

Philippe Laurensy, CEO of Euroclear Asia Pacific, said the partnership demonstrates the parties’ shared commitment to developing a new generation of fund market infrastructure, leveraging Euroclear’s global network, sophisticated fund infrastructure and digital capabilities.
