Odaily Planet Daily News: Nishad Singh, former head of engineering at FTX, asked a Manhattan federal judge to avoid jail time. His lawyers said in a memorandum filed late Wednesday that Singh should be treated leniently given his limited role in the collapse of FTX, his immediate cooperation with investigators and his "exemplary life." "Singh's situation is unusual in every way that affects sentencing: his personal experience and characteristics, his role in the alleged crimes, the speed of his cooperation, his response to the bankruptcy of FTX, and how he has rebuilt his life since then," the lawyers wrote in their sentencing recommendation. Singh is one of four FTX executives who have pleaded guilty to criminal offenses. (Bloomberg)
