Compared to other alternatives to SMS-based verification methods, Telegram Gateway is the most cost-effective, according to CEO Durov. The new service offers an alternative to conventional SMS verification by using Telegram's current infrastructure. Each verification code will cost you $0.01.
With the new Phone Verification Service, companies and developers can easily onboard individuals with a Telegram account by integrating it into their products.
According to Telegram, their new service is far quicker than SMS-based alternatives; users get verification tokens almost instantaneously; it also has better dependability, but it's expensive and limited to certain regions.
"Telegram offers the most affordable option for businesses seeking phone number verification," Durov said while announcing the platform's debut.
