Internet Computer Protocol is driving entrepreneurship in the Latin American region.

Through ICP Hub Mexico, the protocol promotes the development of entrepreneurs in Latin America by creating spaces for learning and technological training.

ICP is collaborating with Stacks on the Bitcoin Virtual Hackathon, an initiative that enables thousands of developers to create innovative technological solutions through a multi-phase hackathon.

Entrepreneurs with outstanding projects will be able to access mentors, financing opportunities, and present their ideas to global investors during a virtual Demo Day.

Through its regional project known as ICP Hub Mexico, the organization has carried out various initiatives to promote entrepreneurship in Latin America.

The first step the project took to understand the situation of entrepreneurs in the region was to carry out an in-depth study on the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship in Latin America.

This study helped ICP understand that one of the main challenges for entrepreneurs in the region was the lack of technological tools, training and learning spaces.

The study also indicated that education was considered by entrepreneurs as an important factor in promoting entrepreneurship in the region.

A possible solution to boost entrepreneurship in Latin America

Based on the information obtained from the study, ICP decided to carry out an initiative to support entrepreneurs in the region.

ICP has made progress with the creation of the first knowledge-sharing space for technology entrepreneurs in Latin America.

With the help of Stacks, they decided to create the Bitcoin Virtual Hackathon. Within the framework of the program, thousands of developers from various parts of the continent will be able to create innovative solutions. The initiative will have 4 different phases, which will be:

Technical Workshops

Stacks and ICP will host a series of virtual workshops to educate thousands of programmers on the technology used in both projects.

Hackathon Virtual

During this phase, participants will have to face various challenges in order to test their knowledge in various technological areas.

Hacker House at LaBitConf

After the two previous stages, the projects with the most solid knowledge will be able to travel to Buenos Aires, where they will be able to work with mentors and experts at the Hacker House. The finalists will present their projects to a panel of experts and VCs, with the possibility of obtaining financing and accelerating their startups.

Demo Day Virtual

Hacker House winners will have the opportunity to present their projects to global investors at a virtual Demo Day.

The program will seek to promote knowledge and support entrepreneurs by providing financial support of $25,000 to them.

ICP is playing a pivotal role in driving entrepreneurship in Latin America, particularly in the technology sector. Through initiatives such as ICP Hub Mexico and their collaboration with Stacks on the Bitcoin Virtual Hackathon, they are addressing identified challenges such as a lack of training and technological tools.
