Binance founder warns of proliferation of AI “deepfakes”

Changpeng Zhao (known as CZ), founder of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, warns about the dangers of AI in the hands of scammers. In particular, he refers to the proliferation of so-called deepfakes, which could cause great harm to people who are not careful.

Deepfakes are a form of deception that is used based on real videos of a person. These videos are uploaded to AI bots trained to edit them and make the people in the video make false statements. Some of them are extremely realistic and many people have been fooled. The danger of this manipulation extends inside and outside the cryptocurrency industry. In the particular case of CZ, he warned that there are some fake videos of him recommending investments in certain tokens. In a post on X, the businessman recently released from prison assures that he has not even heard about these tokens. "There are deepfakes of me on other social media platforms. “Be careful!” the entrepreneur wrote. This alert from the founder of Binance comes amid growing concerns about the proliferation of such videos. Even this same technology is used to steal user accounts, since KYC face detectors are vulnerable to these scams by AI. #inteligenciaartificial #Cz #exchange #twitter #tecnología @Binance Academy @Binance News @Binance LATAM Official @Binance Labs @Binance Customer Support @BNB Chain @Binance Announcement @Binance Search @CZ
